Multihaz MB2

The MB2 Multibeam Echosounder is developed for rapid mobilization on small vessels and is optimized for shallow water surveys, harbors, dredging companies, and other users seeking a high-resolution system that is easy to use and quick to deploy.

As an option the MB2 can be supplied with an IMU (Inertial Movement Unit) and integrated GPS heading system, as well as an integrated real-time SVP system to simplify installation and calibration, making the MB2 perfect for use on vessels of opportunity. , small survey boats and ASVs.

MB2 features a cylindrical transmission array and a wide range of polling frequencies that improve on the performance of the MB1 by offering wider coverage and tighter acoustics. Using the bottom detection amplitude and phase, the MB2 is capable of emitting a fringe of up to 140° at a depth of 110m. With 24-bit raw data, water column and seafloor information can be collected within the system controller. Real Time Device (RTA) synchronizes all sensors with a precision better than 0.1ms.

Technical specifications:

  • Frequency (Khz) user selectable, 200 – 460
